With over 50 years of experience in North San Diego County, this beautiful region has always been our home. Throughout our 34-year marriage, Melissa dedicated herself to being a stay-at-home mom while Jim worked at UPS until 2016. Now that our kids have grown up and moved out, we find ourselves as enthusiastic “empty-nesters” eager to utilize our time in learning, growing, and assisting our valued clients. As a family, we cherish spending quality time together at the beach, engaging in activities such as surfing, hiking, and camping. Melissa finds joy in cooking, travelling, singing, and keeping up with fashion trends. On the other hand, Jim is a skilled musician, handyman, talented photographer, and avid surfer. We truly love what we do, and we believe our life experience gives us a real advantage when it comes to helping you reach your real estate goals. We both grew up right here in North County—Melissa in Carlsbad and Jim in San Marcos—so this area has always felt like home. After getting married, we enjoyed living in several coastal North County communities before buying our first home in Cardiff in the ’90s. When San Elijo Hills was just beginning to take shape, we immediately saw its potential and were drawn to the strong sense of community it promised. Taking an exciting leap, we moved from our coastal home to become one of the founding families in SEH in 2002 and part of only the second neighborhood ever built. Since then, we’ve had the privilege of watching San Elijo Hills grow from a simple town square fountain and community center (now home to Lost Abbey) into the vibrant community it is today—filled with parks, restaurants, local businesses, and miles of beautiful trails. Because we’ve experienced this community from the very beginning, we understand not just the homes, but the lifestyle that makes people want to live here.
