My family and I moved to San Elijo Hills from the East Coast in 2015 to be closer to family. It was important to my husband and me that our children grow up with their cousins just down the road, building the kind of relationships that last a lifetime. From the moment we arrived, San Elijo Hills became an important chapter in our family’s story. We quickly embraced the California lifestyle and fell in love with raising our two children in this incredible community. We live in the Azure/Saverne neighborhood, one of those special places where kids ride their bikes until dinner, neighbors naturally become friends, and everyday life feels connected and intentional. Our days often include walking our pups along the trails, running into familiar faces, and grabbing a bite in the town center. Our kids discovered their love for soccer through the local AYSO program, which eventually led them to City competitive soccer, another reminder of how supportive and opportunity-filled this community truly is. In my opinion, San Elijo Hills offers the perfect balance of nature, convenience, and genuine warmth. I’ve met some of my closest friends here, moms I truly couldn’t do life without. We are so grateful to call San Elijo Hills home and to raise our family in a place that feels like a true community, not just a neighborhood.
